“The most relaxing holiday ever”
We had the most relaxing holiday ever. The weather was perfect. The location was perfect and the house was beautiful. It really was home from home. Everything that you could possibly need was there. We did a big shop at the supermarket in Chalais (which was only a 5 minute drive) when we arrived and used the freezer then used the bakery when we needed fresh bread. We had intended to visit a few restaurants for dinner but were so comfortable that we didn’t get around to it. The barbecue area was great and the view from there in the evening was spectacular. We normally only go away for a week but we stayed for 2 weeks and really didn’t want to leave. We enjoyed picking fruit from the orchard. There were cherry trees, apricot, plum, apple, pear plus others. The solar heated pool was wonderful especially when sunbathing as you could dip in to cool off. Wendy & Simon have thoughtfully given the house a really homely French country feel. The house was spotlessly clean and the furnishings were beautiful. We can’t wait to return with our family next year. Thank you so much for a much needed relaxing holiday.
